Chinese acquiring Conergy ?

It is known that Conergy (German solar module manufacturer) for long time it faces financial problems. Especially 2011  has been a difficult year, with many actions of cost reductions such as closing of factory lines and lay offs. Today it was published in German Financial Τimes, that there is interest by Chinese companies to acquire 30% of the company.

The name of the company is not reported. For sure it is an opportunity for Chinese solar panel manufactures to enter the European market, and buy a well know German brand at very low cost (Conergy stocks have fallen dramatically). On the other hand it is a chance for Conergy itself to survive!

I believe we are going to hear more and more often about Chinese companies acquiring European or American ones! They have the cash! And if this happens the duties planned to impose on Chinese solar panels will have absolutely no meaning!
