Problems with German inverters

What is going on with the inverters for solar systems?
I heard there are problems in the market of ....availability. Almost all German inverters like SMA, SIEMENS, KACO have limited
or no stock for the coming months!
The next available dates from the suppliers are 3 months from now, meaning June 2012!!

There are two possible things going on:

Poor Sales' projections vs High Demand
The demand due to Germany, Uk, Italy and Australia has been so high , due to change of FIT, that they havent predicted them in production! Lets say that in an effort of being cautious and protect the inverters' companies by overcapacity the sales projection has been low.  But how much is this sales projection low to create an almost 2-3 months gap of supplying the market?

At the end of 2011 that there was a huge sales increase in Germany reaching almost 7 GW of solar installations, and the market had no problem with supplying of the inverters!

How much is the demand now? i assume it has to be much much bigger!

"High" Demand vs price expectations

Is there a possibility this demand to be "virtual" and created by German companies so as to  create a market where there is technical lack of inverters and as such maintain or even increase prices?

If you are the stage of installing your solar system, check with your solar installer whether everything is ok with the orders delivery including inverters' delivery.
