First Solar: Dramatic cuts!

First solar, the biggest US solar producer of thin film panels, has announced a programme of reducing costs!

1) Lays off  2000 employees which is equall to 30% of its labour
force! (bloomberg)!!!
2) Shuts down its factory in Germany and  idles its production lines in Malaysia ! (Forbes)

Anaylists in pv magazine say this is no suprise, as they have seen similar players like Rec taken similar measures.
