2012: solar industry in intensive care

If 2011 has been the year where solar industry was severely injured, due to drop of prices in solar panels, then  2012 is the year of the hospitalization of the industry!

2011: The bang!
In 2011 the oversupply of the solar panels industry along with the intense price competition of the Chinese companies (30-40%)  drove the

NOCT importance in Solar panel's performance

The performance of solar panel is highly influenced from the cell temperature around the year. This is especially important  during summer and during afternoon (ie when in high temperatures), where the solar cells reach the highest temperatures.

The more the panels are heated , the more the solar energy production is lowered!! Can you picture yourself, sweating in your living room from high temperatures of 40 C and your panel to perform even lower than a standard average day?

It can happen.

EPIA 2011: Global installed share / country

Europe has the highest share in installed photovoltaic power (75%) with Germany and Italy being the major players (54% globally).

However, the interest now is shifted to other countries where demand is growing and is expected to be higher than EU in the coming years.

Solar Inverters market

The market is changing in photovoltaic inverters... someone should look more carefull when deciding to select an inverter...does it worth its money? is it on grid residential or big KW OR MW park?
The global inverter market is assuming a greater profile along the solar PV supply chain with advances in inverter technology promising more sophisticated grid support and system optimization for residential installations up to utilityscale, multi-MW projects. Inverter
